With this project, I wanted to display the duality of the black soul. This duality is very important to me because white supremacy views black people as a one-dimensional character, and not as the complex human beings that they actually are. I wanted to show this by using these two women who look the exact same. These women would represent how black people view themselves and how they are viewed by society because it is two completely different representations housed within the same body.
