This project represents the soul of a black woman. I used organic lines to create movement with the main heart shape to give the impression that it was beating. I used this heart shape to represent the soul of black women because hearts are very fragile yet resilient, and the same can be said about the soul of black women. I used many different hands collaged onto the painting to represent our ancestors who have shaped who we are today and support us.
